Starting off on Friday is the Kids & Ladies Tournament, with the award ceremony and weigh in at approx. 11 a.m. at the stadium. The regular 2 day tournament will be held both Saturday and Sunday, with weigh in starting at approx. 1 p.m. both days. GARDEN WALK The Tri Cities Garden Club sponsors this fabulous garden walk thru 7 homes. Self-guided walking tours, names of plants are labeled, refreshments at one of the gardens. Tours run from 10-4pm, tickets are $8 each and can be purchased at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum, Spring Lake District Library or at each home the day of the tour. The Grand Haven Tribune and the Chronicle will post the list of gardens to tour so watch for the advertisement. ANNUAL SAND SCULPTURE CONTEST For a quarter century residents and visitors of the Grand Haven area have enjoyed the challenge of building art in the sand by participating in the Sand Sculpture Contest held annually on the last Saturday in June at the Grand Haven City Beach. Groups, families and individuals are judged and awarded prizes after the two-hour time limit to sculpt. Registration is from 9-9:45am and sculpting from 10am-noon with judging to follow. Registration fee is $5 per individual participant and Family/Group of 5 or less $10 which includes a t-shirt.
