| May 1 - 3 | CENTRAL PARK PLAYERS PRESENTS NEIL SIMON'S "PLAZA SUITE" In each of the tree acts, differnt characters inhabit Suite 719 in New York City's Plaza Hotel. A not-so-happy couple tries to recapture marital bliss in the first act, a former movie producer tries to seduce an old flame in the second act, and a nervous bride-to-be locks herself in the bathroom in the final act. Long a favorite with theater-goers, Plaza Suite ran on Broadway for 1,097 performances. Time of Event: 8pm; Sunday matinee 2pm. VETERAN’S MEMORIAL DAY TROOP TRAIN RIDES Ride aboard West Michigan’s historic railway. Volunteers of the Coopersville & Marne have lovingly restored vintage passenger train cars and are professionally trained engineers, conductors and brakemen. Veteran’s ride FREE and everyone else just $5.50 for this annual salute to the troops! Veterans are encouraged to wear whatever parts of their uniforms that still fit aboard this reenactment of the historic Troop Train from the past. Patriotic music performed by the volunteers of the Coopersville Community Band and other tributes are held at noon at the ticket station between the trains.
