Historic Downtown Coopersville is decorated for fall with scarecrows, created by local businesses, non-profit agencies, classrooms and individuals. 2007 entries included an Astronaut, Little Boy Blue & Mary's Little Lamb and many others. Dozens of scarecrows line Main Street, the loading platform of the Coopersville & Marne Railway and surrounding streets. Vote for your favorite at the Coopersville Farm Museum and support Coopersville Cares, a local non-profit agency serving local families in need. One vote for each $1.00 or non-perishable food or personal hygiene item. October 4-5, 11-12, 18-19, 25-26 Celebrate Halloween aboard the train with the Great Pumpkin, Scarecrow and Little Crow. Eva Swietec from the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre and her wacky cast perform family friendly music, song and jokes written especially for our younger riders. One FREE pumpkin with each paid child’s ticket. No Reservations. Over 300 seats are available for each train, but to ensure a seat aboard the train of your choice, it is recommended to purchase advanced tickets. An Advanced Ticket Sales Registration Form is available at www.coopersvilleandmarne.org or at the Ticket Station, 311 Danforth Street in Historic Downtown Coopersville on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9:30am-2:30pm. It is generally recommended that riders arrive 20-30 minutes prior to departure. Adults $14.50, Children 2-12 $10, Seniors $13.50, Under 2 free.
