Committees and Volunteer Opportunities
One of the best ways to build your business network is to join a Chamber committee or task force. Our most satisfied members are those with the highest levels of participation in Chamber meetings and activities, and we encourage you to choose the committee that best fits your needs and talents. Then give us a call to find out about openings and schedules, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request. ![]() Chamber Ambassadors serve as liaisons between the Chamber and its members by promoting membership and encouraging participation. They often act as greeters at events, and assist with retention calls. Committee meetings are held monthly. Chamber Events Committees meet as needed to plan annual events and include: Annual Dinner – Committee meets monthly January – May. Event takes place in May. Business Recognition Awards – Committee meets monthly March – June. Event takes place in June. The Economic Development Committee meets quarterly to develop and review economic development strategies and projects for the community. The Human Resource Committee meets quarterly to plan and develop programs specific to the HR needs of members. The Leadership Connect Committee meets periodically in July and August to plan the schedule for the community’s annual leadership academy. The Manufacturers Council meets monthly to bring area CEO’s and GM’s together to discuss issues, trends and innovative solutions for the manufacturing community. The Public Policy Committee meets monthly to examine, investigate and make recommendations to the Chamber board regarding current legislative issues. SCORE Volunteers are retired executives who provide business start-up and business plan counseling to members of the community free of charge.
