Economic Development Job Training Grants (EDJT)
Training Connections, through the Northwest Ottawa Chamber Foundation, is an approved fiscal agent for state training grants. Michigan is committed to educating and maintaining a highly-trained workforce. The Economic Development Job Training Grant (EDJT) program was created in 1994 to ensure that the state has the training resources to retain and attract businesses and people for the 21st century economy. Training Connections works closely with Michigan Works to help companies access incumbent worker training grants. This program is designed to assist employers with on-site training. Grant funds are awarded based on the type of training and the company's status.
