Meals on Wheels Drivers Needed
|
|
Volunteer drivers needed now! There are 2 Spring Lake routes, and 4 Grand Haven routes open. We pick up the food around 10am in the garage at the community center, deliver the meals, and then return the coolers, etc. to the center. Our agents deliver in S.L. Wednesdays and Fridays, so you can volunteer as much or as little as you'd like. You can put in for mileage, also. It takes about an hour. Delivery is Mon. - Fri, not on major holidays, and not on snow days.
To volunteer or ask any questions, please contact Ida at the Grand Haven Community Center, 616-842-2550.

Safe Roads for Everyone - Ottawa County Road Commission
|
|
In 2005, e-service was implemented on the Road Commission website as a tool for the general public to relay road service needs. The online service request form is easy to use. Simply provide your name, email, telephone, address, township, and the type of service requested with an approximate location. The online requests are opened each business day and then given to the appropriate department for a field review. Usually within a few days a response is given to the requestor or the service has been performed.
For more info, please visit the Road Commission website at www.ottawacorc.com. The direct link to the service request form is at http://www.ottawacorc.com/ContactUs/Service/Requested.aspx.

7 Steps Up's special holiday offers to Chamber Members
|
|
Santa isn't long on details, but here's the scoop.
Chamber members who book a holiday party that occurs from Dec 1, 2011 through January 8th, 2012 receive a 10% discount on the room fee.
If they book for that time period (12-1-11 thru 1-8-12) within the next 30 days, i.e. from now until Oct 16, 2011, instead of 10% off, they'll get 15% off. "Book" means a deposit (50% of room rental) has been paid and a contract has been signed.
Here's another way of saying it also:
Have a party between Dec 1 and Jan 8...pay the deposit before Oct 16...get 15% off the room rate.
Have a party between Dec 1 and Jan 8...pay the deposit after Oct 16...get 10% off the room rate.
And yet a 3rd way to get to the same deal:
Call Santa and ask him what the heck was that deal you talked about at the Early Bird Breakfast. :)
Signed,
Santa
