Rosy Mound Natural Area

Rosy Mound is a classic Great Lakes dune system including high wooded dunes, foredunes, a dune blowout and 0.65 miles of shoreline.  A 0.7 mile (One Way) hiking trail from the parking area to the Lake Michigan shoreline includes 1,000 feet of stairs through the dunes and scenic views of woods, dunes and Lake Michigan.  Residents daily parking permit $4; Ottawa County Park year pass $12, non-residents daily parking permit $6 or year pass $24. Ottawa County provides no lifeguards at parks with swimming facilities.
